Using FSA or HSA?
Many of our recovery item choices may be eligible for purchase using your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA). Look for the “FSA/HSA Eligible” badge on Amazon or check with your plan provider.
To use your card:
Not sure if it qualifies? Ask your healthcare provider for a Letter of Medical Necessity.
Are You a Senior or Veteran?
Certain medical and recovery products may be: Covered by Medicare Part B when prescribed (like wheelchairs, shower chairs, or raised toilet seats) – Recommended by the VA for post-operative recovery.
Ask your doctor or case manager if you qualify for assistance or reimbursement.
Helpful Tip for Students and Low-Income Customers:
If you’re a college student or on Medicaid, some recovery essentials may be available through your campus health services or public insurance program – especially if ordered by a licensed provider.

What Is FSA and HAS?
FSA – Flexible Spending Account
- Employer-sponsored benefit (you can’t get one on your own).
- You contribute pre-tax dollars from your paycheck.
- Can be used to pay for eligible medical expenses like bandages, braces, post-op supplies, etc.
- Use it or lose it: Funds usually expire at the end of the plan year (with limited rollover).
HSA – Health Savings Account
- Available if you have a high-deductible health plan (HDHP).
- You contribute pre-tax dollars (and sometimes your employer does too).
- Funds roll over year to year and can be invested.
- Can be used for the same kinds of qualified medical expenses as FSA.
- HSA funds are yours for life, even if you change jobs or retire.
Products marked FSA/HSA eligible can be purchased using those accounts, which makes them more appealing to some buyers — especially if they’ve just had surgery. It’s often listed on the Amazon product page if it qualifies.
To determine if the products you’ve selected are FSA (Flexible Spending Account) or HSA (Health Savings Account) eligible, it’s essential to check each item’s eligibility status. Amazon provides a dedicated FSA/HSA Store where eligible products are listed. Eligible items typically display an “FSA or HSA eligible” badge on their product pages.
